No appointment when you need one, the booking system is a joke, in fact the whole system is a joke!

The reception staff only do what they're told by docs so can't blame them but they need do need training and show summer empathy.

Nurses don't turn up so blood tests are cancelled without notice so you get there to be turned away. My condition is going from bad to worse and I've been with this surgery since it was Shiv Lodge but this is the service is the lowest I've ever seen it.

If by some miracle you get an appointment then you have to wait by the phone like a psychic expecting the call, forget toilet breaks, driving, going out, or work of any kind as they'll call the second you're about to do something. You're not told what time the Doc will call- if it's an appointment and you're getting paid to call us or treat us then we should know! All this does is add to my anxiety and worsen my blinding migraines.

First I have to try for hours and sometimes days to get an appointment with the Doc and then wait weeks for a blood test, then wait another week for an appointment with the Doc again, to be told what I've tried to explain to them many times in the past, and then wait to make an appointment with the nurse again.

This is causing so much distress I can't explain. I don't know what we've all done to deserve this.

Thank you for your feedback. I am the Complaints Manager for Dickenson Road Medical Centre.

I am sorry you are having such a difficult time booking appointments and that your blood test appointment had to be cancelled last minute. It is hard waiting for the Doctor to call. We are unable to give exact telephone appointment times as the Doctor may have had to deal with emergencies and also some appointments take longer than others. This current Pandemic has placed a lot of pressure on everyone and on the services provided by the NHS. I hope that these services will improve once the pandemic has less impact on our lives and services. I can assure you that if we have had to cancel a clinic last minute it would have been because we had no other option. Without full details I cannot perform a full investigation. If you would like this to be investigated further please provide contact details.
