"My experiences as a patient"

About: North Devon District Hospital

(as the patient),

As a retired nursing officer, clinical nurse teacher, and hospital manager I can only thank my lucky stars that NDDH is my local hospital.

At 76 years of age I have been a “regular customer” and been professionally patched up, sewn together and returned home on numerous occasions.  I have always been treated with respect and a friendly smile and felt valued.  The staff in all departments work as a highly professional team, skilled at what they do and are a credit to their various roles.

I take patient feedback and work with all departments at Royal Devon University Hospital NHS Trust to implement service change and improve the patient experience.

Dear Jacksmann

Thank you for your feedback. As someone that has seen NHS services from both inside and out, it is lovely to hear you describe your experiences. I am glad to hear that you felt both respected and valued on occasions that you have had to visit us.

We will use your feedback to share with our teams. Thank you again for taking the time to tell us your story.

Warmest wishes

Lisa
