"A great emotional support for us as a family"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Day surgery

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter had to attend this unit back in June in order to get an MRI head under general anaesthetic. My daughter is severely autistic and non verbal and the staff went above and beyond to ensure her needs were met as well as being a great emotional support for us as a family. Everyone who was involved in my daughters care was outstanding that day, especially nurse Arwen and Doctor Emily the anaesthetist. Thank you for everything you have done for us and keep up the great work! I feel you are truly an asset to the national health!

Dear pepperbq45,

That must have been a really challenging experience for your daughter, and therefore in turn for you.

It was wonderful to read that our team went above and beyond to support both your daughter and her family in an appropriate way.

In particular, thank you for mentioning Arwen and Emily. Our Senior Management Team have taken this opportunity to pass on their personal thanks to them for the care they provided.

I hope your daughter soon settled well back at home. It was truly our pleasure to have cared for her.

Take care

Coral
