I went to AE and ended up afterwards in AEC the following day. I spent 48 hours at this hospital and saw several medical staff in that time. It was very busy and they are working in challenging conditions. I was mostly impressed with the high level of personal empathy and positive energy from the doctors and nurses- I felt like an individual and saw a great deal of compassion towards myself and other patients during my visit. I saw some excellent communication and team work. The triage and medic doctor really listened to me and took swift action, which I am appreciative for. The doctor who performed a lumbar puncture was kind and took the time to discuss the procedure, am sure that helped it be painless. Anything that might make a visit difficult was not the fault of staff- the volume of patients, the waiting. There were a lot of younger doctors and I felt they had great teamwork and a positive energy. I felt safe and would highly rate my experience at this hospital.
