"A first class experience"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Daisy Hill Hospital / Male Medical

(as a service user),

I came to Daisy Hill's Emergency Department with breathing difficulties. I found this to be quite a scary experience but the staff were all very good in the ED and they did their best for me. I stayed here overnight before moving up to Male Medical.

Up on Male Medical it has been a first class experience. The staff have all been great and incredibly helpful. However, I find that sometimes t can be struggle with regards to getting information.

The only improvements I can suggest is to do with the lack of Ambulances. I have been in 3 or 4 times now in the last 6 weeks and getting an ambulance has been a difficulty - at one point an ambulance had to be sent from Belfast. So I feel that there needs to be more Cardiac Ambulances available.
