Today I had a call with Carla who called to do the 9-12 month developmental review. I was very sceptical beforehand as it was over the phone and not in person, however Carla was brilliant. And despite the fact that I have two older children and have gone through two, in person, developmental reviews over the years this was by far the best. It was the most helpful and comprehensive review I've had. I learned so much and Carla listened and gave me specific advice and guidance about issues and how to go about things eg, baby waking up at night. I had a greater understanding about the questionnaire and the results; what they mean and how to use the results going forward. Carla was patient, the appointment wasn't rushed and I felt that she genuinely cared. This is important as I have previously felt like these reviews were a tick boxing exercise with no real discussion or guidance.
