"Very good staff"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 1 North Cardiology

(as the patient),

I have had no issues or negative comments to say about any of the staff here at Craigavon area hospital. They are very good and helpful in resuscitation, the cath labs and this ward. I was taken here by ambulance from my GP surgery. They arrived promptly and I received excellent care.

The facilities are good, however, I feel they should be checked more often as they are sometimes left in bad conditions after other patients.

The food menu is very repetitive and there isn't much variety. My roast beef dinner was good but the breakfast is awful. The tea is too strong and the toast is very rubbery; as if it had been cooked an hour before. Other than this. my stay at CAH has been great.

Thank you for posting regarding your recent hospital experience.

I am really sorry to see that you haven't been happy with the meals provided. I agree that whilst the menu can be repetitive, it does have a large selection of options. I am sorry to hear about the tea and toast at ward level. Please feel free to ask the staff to replace any item you are not satisfied with.

Our Domestic Services team do check the facilities frequently, however on some wards the facilities are used whilst our Domestic Assistant is completing other duties, however I will discuss this matter with the Domestic Services Manager.

I do wish you a speedy recovery.

Many thanks

Andrew
