In March 2020 I got Covid 19. Ever since I've felt systemically altered. Unable to function as normal and coping with a host of both consistent plus additional symptoms. Meeting with an OT changed my experience. It was a significant turning point. I am so grateful for the service and don't know how I'd have managed my health without it.
Through the support of Evelyn and Carina, I developed understanding of my condition and how best to care for myself. I hadn't found this through my GP, private practitioners or at the Long Covid Clinic. It was such a relief.
They gave me both physical and mental support which was so vital as Covid is new and unknown. The breadth and randomness of the symptoms I'm living with have been fear inducing and life changing.
OT expertise and guidance helped me cope and feel positive. Evelyn and Carina made excellent referrals, provided me with resources and documentation so I could better support myself in a practical sense - explaining there may be financial support available and helping me communicate to my freelance employers with integrity and confidence. Meeting Evelyn and Carina made me feel like I could recover.
I cannot put a price on their kindness at such a hard and scary time. I am deeply grateful for their ongoing support as I tackle this health challenge and navigate the coming weeks and months.
"Deeply grateful for their ongoing support"
