I was taken, by ambulance to York District Hospital on Thursday, in the afternoon, feeling anxious and extremely unwell and was triaged in the red area.
From the moment I arrived in the hospital I experienced, from everyone I met, the most professional care, compassion and kindness. Nothing was too much trouble and, whilst it was obvious the staff were extremely stretched and busy, there was always time made to answer questions and provide reassurance.
This excellent care continued when I was transferred to Ward 21 where I saw the more unwell patients being fed and cared for with great compassion. Thank you to everyone I met. We are extremely lucky to have you.
"Superb care, thank you."
