I was admitted on the 15th August with chest pain. I am 78 and have never been in hospital before. This was a frightening time for me and my family. I had a heart attack and then developed infection which had to be treated before I was transferred for stent insertions at Jubilee.
The care I received by all staff was excellent from the domestics, porters, nurses, phlebotomist, cardio physiology and doctors.
I felt I couldn't have been better cared for even if I had been in the Hilton. At times I felt emotional and the staff ensured as well as the high standard of care they provided they had a sense of humour. The compassion and communication with me and my family was excellent.
There are so many people to thank and I wish I could remember everyone's name. The names I do remember and would like my thanks passed to are Heather T, Kimberley, Lauren, Julie, Jane A, Margo the SCN, Shirley, Erin. They were on top of every aspect of my care and ensured early intervention. They worked so hard and did so with professionalism. Jane R who delivered such a high standard of care. She had so many extended skills and did it all with a smile and humour. This is so important at a worrying time. Charlie the porter who transported me for tests. His communication was excellent and cheery nature. Dr Elwasseif and Dr Payne who took the time to explain my treatment and did so with professionalism.
I wish I could remember everyone's name as each and every member of staff involved in my care was excellent.
Words can't thank the staff enough. I am now recovering well at home and will be forever grateful. Thank you!
"Excellent care from all staff"
