About: Arbroath Infirmary / Minor Injuries

(as a service user),

I attended minor injuries in Arbroath at lunchtime today after being assessed through NHS24.

I broke my toe and the staff were very compassionate with their assessment. I was made to feel comfortable, listened to and was given advice to help my treatment at home. I was very happy with this service today.

Thank you for your kind comments on care opinion. I'm sorry to hear that you have broken a toe. From personal experience I know how painful this can be. It's very reassuring to know that after you contacted NHS 24 you were given an appointment to be seen in Arbroath Minor Injuries and Illness Unit (MIIU). Hopefully, having an appointment meant you didn't have to wait too long in the unit.

I'm so pleased to hear that you were treated compassionately and felt listened to. Staff know how important this is, and try to give patients the opportunity to express any concerns they may have. We are also very aware that giving patients the right information on how to care for their injury or illness helps them to improve.

I hope you are managing to get your "feet up" and getting a chance to rest - certainly not easy these days! I will pass on your lovely comments to staff in MIIU who will be delighted to know that you were happy with the service we provided. Thank you again for taking the time to post your response on care opinion, its much appreciated and helps us to improve our service.
