"Great work"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Breathing and lung problems (Respiratory Wards 7a, 7b, 7c & 7d) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

I contracted Covid and felt very ill with it, and was admitted to QE hospital. My doctor was worried it might be Covid pneumonia as my oxygen levels were down. Ambulance guys were brilliant, efficient and friendly. The hospital staff were caring and supportive. Great work NHS Scotland.

Dear Lilmq67

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read that you contracted COVID and required hospitalisation. I hope that you are on the road to a full recovery and feeling much better.

I am really pleased to read however that you were treated well by all but in particular by our wonderful staff who have been working incredibly hard through some really difficult times.

If you would like, I can arrange for this feedback to be given to the crew that looked after you. In order to do this I would just need the date, time and location that we attended and also your name. You can send this to sas.feedback@nhs.scot and my team will pick it up. If you do decide to do this, I would be extremely grateful if you could make reference to your CareOpinion username so that the team can easily link your details to this story.

All the very best and thanks again!

Alan

Dear Lilmq67

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback in regards to the time you spent in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

It was nice to hear how the staff were supportive and made your stay comfortable in what must have been a very difficult time for you and your family.

I will be sure to pass on your comments to all the staff involved who I'm sure will be humbled to read how they were able to make a difference while you were in their care.

I hope you are now recovering well at home.

Please take care and stay safe

Kind regards

Kevin
