"I encouraged him to apologise to the staff"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Accident & Emergency

(as a carer),

My kinship child took LSD in a local park, on Friday evening along with some of his so called friends   As his kinship carer, (his aunt), I ended up at A&E on Friday evening with my brother, my own son and my drug affected adolescent nephew who was being very abusive.  I cannot thank everyone in the RIE enough for being so understanding and helpful in dealing with him.  Hopefully this is a one-off occurrence.

This evening I encouraged him to visit the RIE to thank all the nurses and doctors involved in his care and for him to apologise for his behaviour upon admission. I was extremely impressed to meet with the toxicology consultant and another member of his team to endorse my concerns to my nephew about being involved with these types of street drugs.
