"Mistreated at Wharnfield ."

About: Rotherham Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

Came for induction monday, staff very friendly, took me to labour ward where staff were friendly and knowledgeable. After my c section was brought back to wharnfield ward around 13 h30 staff on duty helped as I couldn't move my legs after c section .

Next day all was well during the day, came night shift staff where only asking other patients do they need help not me, I ignored it. when charging bed they will charge for everyone not me. mind you I'm in pain as well, cant stand or walk well, they didn't even provide bed sheets, I had to ask for them, respond was they would bring it but never returned. I ended up asking the doctor who came to see my son for bed sheet thus when I was handed it.

Buzzed for pain killers as no one bothered to offer will be given after any hour if, I was luck enough that time, buzzed at 00h00 for pain killers support worker will come switch off the buzzer and say your midwife will come never came, went to reception for pain killers they said midwife will come until they around 6 comes with one tablet and say they will give you more at 8  am finished their shift.

Thinking its new shift things will change - worsens. I asked for baby milk noone comes back. Pain killers, no midwife at that time i am in pain, the whole day given painkillers twice cause all the staff will be saying we will tell your midwife to come see you.

Staff at wharfield treated me as a patient as if I was mental disturbed. It felt like prison in this ward, I ask noone comes back to me, I felt I had to be following them around to get attention from them .
