"Very uncomfortable "

About: Darent Valley Hospital

When I was told I was measuring a week ahead I asked if that was normal the doctor then told me because I am over weight my fat just makes my bump bigger and I am not evan a large woman!

And when I asked her for a prescription for thrush I pulled out a old prescription and asked if that was for thrush she said "no these are painkillers you can't have been in that much pain if you didn't get them" I then told her that I actually have SPD and them tablets I tried but they made me really drowsy and sleepy and having a young child at home already I didnt really want to take them because my child needs looking after and she then said "well you can't be in that much pain can you" i thought it was very rude and she just made me feel very uncomfortable.

We were very sorry to read your feedback and how you were made to feel by a staff member. This certainly is not the experience we wish for our pregnant ladies and do hope that you have been able to speak to somebody within the hospital about your experience. If not, please do speak to our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PAL) - contact details are telephone: 01322 428382 or

email: dgn-tr.PALS@nhs.net
