"Removal of a coil"

About: Sexual Health Services - South Staffordshire (Open Clinic)

(as the patient),

I have been having issues with my self down below.. had an ultrasound at the hospital in August to which was told my coil had moved and I needed it out.. the doctors still couldn’t accommodate me until the middle of October to which I told the receptionist I was disappointed as I was in pain! So she suggested I rang the sexual health clinic in Burton! They got me in straight away and I had to have the after morning pill and I had to go back a few days later to get the coil removed. They couldn’t find this so I had to ring back my doctors to which Dr Wong arranged for me to go to the gynaecologist ward to which they finally removed it! The staff at the clinic were brilliant and pushed for me to get sorted so they are a credit to the NHS other than my Gp surgery to which I am most disappointed with not being as helpful until pushed by the clinic to sort me out.

Thank you for your feedback. At Open Clinic we aim to ensure patients have a positive experience and are put at ease during their time in clinic. We are very pleased you found this to be the case on your recent visit and you eventually had your coil removed. Glad we could help you.
