I recently had Cardiac Surgery and would like thank the staff, in no specific order:
The preparation for my surgery, where everyone came to see me and introduce themselves was good. The one I remember most was the anesthetist, who checked to make sure I had no issues opening my mouth and explained that I might have some pain afterwards. He is the first I can remember who came to see me post op and was truly interested in seeing if I had any discomfort, I did not.
I received impeccable care in the High Dependency and in W216 from all people that were involved, the nice chatty lady who took me for my X-Rays, the people who served food and tea.
I would especially like to thank the night shift crew who went far beyond the call of duty to help me, laxative, suppository and even enema just to make me feel better.
The nice woman who took my blood most days was gentle and professional.
The physio dept who explained very clearly what I need to do.
Then the Surgeon and doctors who came every day and went through my status, keeping me positive and informed.
Last but not least the Nurse who released me - she was also very professional and answered all my questions.
Without a doubt I have missed some things, but overall this experience was made so much easier by the experienced, professional people that you have in place. I have nothing but admiration for these people and would like to thank them all for what they do everyday for people like me.
It is much appreciated.
