I brought my 91 year old mother-in-law to A&E to check out changes to her sight. All the staff were extremely helpful and promptly actioned involvement by colleagues to ensure she had the best assessment of her condition. She had a thorough examination and rapid referral to the Eye Centre for further investigation. The doctor who checked her sight in A&E went above and beyond our expectations to ensure we were seen by the Eye Centre on a very busy day.
We then experienced similarly high levels of care at the Eye Centre with a further scan to be arranged in the next week or two and we should be put in touch with an Eye Clinic Liaison Officer for on-going support and advice.
It was an amazing experience to achieve so much so quickly and to feel we are in the best possible care. Thank you!
"Outstanding care"
