"Eye injection"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary / Ophthalmology

(as a service user),

I want to pass on feedback for my mother- in- law from her experience at the Rvi Eye Center. She would like to say a big thank you to nurse Rachel who gave her eye injection. She says that Rachel took her time to explain what was happening and explained what would happen at her next visit. My wife attended the appointment with her and wanted to discuss her mother's treatment with someone. Rachel was happy to talk with my wife and discussed the eye passport that her mother was given in the past but it wasn't fully explained then.

Also thank you to the assistant who held my mother-in-laws hand during her injection. Both were kind and caring at a time when my mother- in- law felt vulnerable and anxious. Thankyou.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback regarding your mother-in-laws experience at the RVI Eye Centre. We are pleased that the staff that attended to her care were able to explain the process and the passport that she was given on a previous appointment and were able to ease her anxiety during the injection. We will forward your feedback to the directorate who will share with the team involved in her care.
