After having carpal tunnel surgery on my hand, Two weeks ago. I found myself to have an infection in my wound. Was sent to the hospital by my GP. After spending several hours in the Orthopedic clinic I was taken to the ward. Unexpectedly I was transferred from the Orthopedic ward to the gynaecology ward due to bed shortage. At first I wasn’t happy about this it was after 11pm at night at what did the Gyn ward know about Orthopedic’s my assumption. I can honestly say the care and expertise I had on the gyn ward was second to none. I am a regular in hospital stays and it’s not the ideal place to be, yes it helps when your poorly. But it’s not a holiday destination. To my surprise I really enjoyed my stay in the gynaecology ward, sad to say but I had many a laugh. Due to the professional caring staff and it felt more like home than a hospital stay, I don’t think I could praise ward 32 than saying the service was 💯 and the staff are a credit to the RAH and the NHS. What a team in ward 32. I don’t think I will ever come close to this much enjoyment in a hospital stay again. Every member of staff was excellent and made me feel like a person not a patient. I am actually going to miss the staff. Although I will be glad to get home to my family as I miss them. Thanks ward 32 for my stay and getting me on the road to recovery. Much appreciated and heartfelt Thanks
