I visited the A&E Dept earlier this year following on from chest pains together with an alert from my Heart app (a certified medical app) on my mobile Phone
The Doctors, nurses, and staff were generally uncooperative, refusing to look at or accept data from the source stating they did not accept it.
The additional review work carried out by A&E was somewhat abrupt
I accept we live in difficult times BUT an ECG, blood test for troponin, Chest X Ray, and Ultrasound of the heart could all be done in a few hours, and would be far more comprehensive
In conclusion my feedback is the QEQM must be prepared to accept data from reputable external sources.
And finally I am not allowed to quote the name of the external company but it is extremely well known and reputable
"Accident and Emergency Department "
