"Emergency admission"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I fell in the street in Rutherglen. A very kind gentleman and his wife took me and my daughter to Hairmyres Accident and Emergency. I was told I’d be transferred to Wishaw General as my femur was broken. This was  the beginning of August. The Staff on duty all that night were so kind to me and really cared for me. They even moved me carefully into a proper bed to try to let me sleep till the ambulance arrived early the next morning to take me for surgery at Wishaw. Thank you all, wonderful people!

Dear Smiler, Rutherglen

Firstly, I love your username!

I'm sorry to hear that you recently sustained a fall and required to be taken to the Emergency Department at University Hospital, by a lovely couple who witnessed your accident - its great to hear that there are some lovely helpful people living in our communities. I'm sure this was a great help to you daughter.

Your lovely comments will be shared with the team in the Emergency Department, who I know will be grateful that you have taken the time to commend the great care and attention you received. I hope that you are now recovering at home after your accident and subsequent procedure.

Best wishes.

Lesley
