"Poor service"

About: Diana, Princess Of Wales Hospital

Visited A and E on the evening of 25th August 2021 with my mother. The very first person I spoke to at the reception was rude and discourteous. She had to deal with an awkward patient beforehand and I feel that some of the frustrations of that were taken out on me. Later on we were seen by a nurse who spoke to me like a 5 year old. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. The other 5 members of staff I saw were extremely courteous, polite and helpful. We understand the pressures that the NHS are under at the moment. Also, quite rightly there are numerous notices reminding patients how to conduct themselves whilst in the hospital. It would help everybody concerned if all NHS staff could follow these same basic principles when dealing with patients.
