My teenage daughter attended the hospital for day surgery in April . I was unable to attend with her due to covid restrictions and waited outside the hospital for her to be discharged. We received a follow up appointment for her to attend the gynaecologist department in June. This was later cancelled till September then again cancelled till October. My daughter hasn’t been seen since her procedure in April. There hasn’t been a letter of her diagnosis, as I phoned the gynaecologist secretary the following day to ask. Would I receive one and to ask about her stitches as no information was passed on to me about her after care. My daughter was able to tell me what she could remember but this is vague as she was on strong painkillers. The GP called with my daughters histology results at the end of July, that is the only information we have received. I am unhappy with the length of time my daughter has had to wait between procedure and a follow up appointment. My daughter was told she has endometriosis, I feel she would of benefited from a follow up appointment to discuss her diagnosis.
