This review is really on behalf of my wife, who has recently returned home after significant heart surgery. The practice is supposed to be monitoring her (checking blood pressure, for example), but it has been impossible to arrange an appointment via the telephone booking system (four calls today, roughly 40 minutes waiting time each, and in every case the line dropped out when we reached around no three in the queue). Eventually I was forced to go in person to the practice (although in-person bookings are "banned"), and arrange a telephone interview for three days hence. This is a minor victory, but it's hard to work out how you can take blood pressure readings over the phone. Maybe it will result in a face to face meeting before a third post hospital, doctor-interaction-free week is completed.

I should point out that this is quite typical of the problems we have experienced with this surgery over a number of years (and so this cannot be blamed solely on the Covid crisis). We would really like to transfer to another practice, but unfortunately, all the other ones nearby that have been recommended to us are full.
