(as a service user),

I was admitted as an emergency case following a kidney stone blocking my urethra. Although the hospital was clearly operating in crisis mode with no beds or trolleys available when I was in agony in a and e.

I can honestly say that the care I received once seen was fabulous. Everyone was so lovely and when faced with an emergency trip to theatre and not having been in theatre before, the team really did an exceptional job of calming my nerves.

A few weeks on and although my follow on op has been cancelled due to covid numbers, if the care I received the other week is anything to go by, all staff are doing a great job!
