"Not Taken Seriously"

About: The Staunton Surgery

I went to Staunton Surgery after losing 10kg of weight and finding blood in my stools to be prescribed laxatives and paracetamol for three months. The GP didn't take my concerns seriously and it was really hard to get an in-person appointment - when I finally got one I was waiting 45 minutes after my allocated time for her to not do any tests or lay a single finger on me, but at least she begrudgingly referred me for a colonoscopy.

A non-urgent, routine colonoscopy, so a month later while still waiting for my letter I was in A&E with severe pain. After a CT scan I've been diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer.

I'm really disappointed with the way I was treated here. I hope I can beat this, but it's absolutely no thanks to this GP who just wasted loads of my time.
