"Sight restoration"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Ophthalmology (Eye Problems)

(as a service user),

August brings the second anniversary of my treatment on Ward 3 to correct a detached retina in my left eye and to repair degradation of my right eye.

The sight in my left eye was transformed from total blindness to normal vision. A miracle!

As I go about my daily life I am constantly reminded of the debt of gratitude I owe to Dr Kuffova and all the wonderful staff on Ward 203.

On this anniversary of my treatment, can I once again thank everyone for the care I received and extend best wishes to everyone in the Department during these difficult times.

Dear ward3admirer,

Thank you for getting in touch on your treatment anniversary – Dr Kuffova and the team here in 203 are delighted to be remembered and hear you are still doing well.

Sharing your best wishes has given us a much needed boost and your story has helped remind us why we do the jobs we do.

Take care,

Lorna
