"Great staff"

About: Heartlands Hospital

I was advised by my GP to attend Ward 23 AMU on Friday evening with suspected DVT and possible TIA. Yes the waiting times are long and it is difficult to sit for such a long time. I was treated very professionally and the staff were cheerful in what I would describe as difficult circumstances. Staff that I observed were pleasant and courteous to patients who were waiting. I would hope that once the covid situation eases both staff and patients have an easier time. Even though the department was very busy drinks were offered twice whilst I was there. My phone was out of charge and a member of staff kindly acquired the correct charger so that I could contact my husband.

Dear Zumba Chris

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback following your recent experience at Heartlands Hospital, ward 23 AMU.

I am so pleased to read that you felt supported throughout and well informed by our staff who do work very hard to ensure a positive patient experience regardless of how busy their workload is.

I will ensure that your feedback is forwarded to the Unit Manager and their team, who I'm sure will be very pleased to read your comments, which I hope is acceptable.

Once again, thank for your feedback and please contact us if you require any other assistance.

Kind Regards

Patient Experience Team
