My surgery was for a bunion and toes
From the moment I walked into the ward I felt totally at ease with Nicole (and colleague whose name I can’t remember).
Visit from Mr Middleton (surgeon) was excellent and he fully explained what was going to happen and made sure I was okay.
Visits from the anaesthetist was excellent as well. She recognised my fears and totally relaxed me.
The guy taking me to anaesthesia room ( John,I think) was so lovely and certainly kept the chat going with me which I thought was a lovely touch and, again, helped towards my relaxation.
Everyone else in that room were great and knew what each other had to do.
The nurse in recovery was also lovely and cheerful.
I appreciated my ‘after op’ visits from the surgeon and anaesthetist checking up on me.
The physiotherapist, again, was excellent and patient with me. Made sure I could walk with crutches and let me know what I could and couldn’t do.
The two nurses who looked after me in the day care ward (PEBBLES 1 &2 ‘P’) were brilliant. There was lots of laughs but serious when they had to be and I certainly enjoyed my tea and toast.
Overall,not ONE word of complaint.
I hope I have mentioned everyone that was with me because all the staff should feel proud of their dedication, friendliness and general all round energy that they put in.
Thankyou to you all xx
