"Gratitude and thanks"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Respiratory Medicine Scottish Ambulance Service

(as the patient),

Absolutely phenomenal service. Warm caring professional and humbling to see the running around and the dedication to try and support and care for all patients whilst trying to  maintain their own wellbeing.

From 00.00 to midnight there has been no hold up for staff. I came in on Wednesday transported by ambulance who kept not only me but my partner and daughter updated on all the procedures. Then onto 2 wards, one pre entry due to covid testing (ward 42) and now ward 3 where I have had nothing but care, communion and professional support throughout.  I don't think I ever realised the demand on staff who run around trying to do a job of 2/3 people.  They have put up with patients sometimes being demanding and pressing the buzzers non stop yet they have never complained, just prioritised, and got through it. Well done everyone.  In saying that it's been extremely amusing listening to the other patients who have entertained me throughout my stay so far. Thank you so much x

Dear LizM21

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your Feedback here on Careopinion. I am really sorry to read you have had to make use of our services as well as those of the wider NHS. However I am pleased to hear how well you have been cared for and also to know that our crew kept your family updated, this must have been really reassuring for you all,

If you would like your comments to be passed back to the Ambulance crew, please may I ask you email sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your name, date, time and address of where we attended to you. It would also be extremely helpful if you made reference to your CareOpinion username which will enable us to easily link to this story.

I really hope you are feeling much better now and on the road to recovery.

Best Wishes

Lesley

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience of Wards 42 and 3. While no one would choose to spend their time in our care, I am very pleased to see that your stay has been as positive as circumstances allow. We are very proud of our teams who work tirelessly to provide the best care in often challenging circumstances and I am sure that your kind words will be very welcome. On behalf of us all I wish you all the best for your recovery.
