About: Grantham & District Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I went into Grantham hospital to have my gallbladder removed.

The staff were fantastic from the nurses to the anaesthetists and the surgeon's. 

After my operation being cancelled twice in 4 weeks I was very anxious if this would go ahead again!

It did, and although tonight back at home I cannot sleep, my nurse that looked after me from yesterday morning until I left the hospital was so nice., caring, compassionate and despite the fact of seeming shattered herself was brilliant towards all of us she was looking after.  I couldn't say thankyou enough.

Thank you for taking the time to send your comments in as this does boost morale for the staff as they are very pleased when they are appreciated for their hard work.

I am really pleased that you eventually got your operation as we really try hard to ensure we get patients through the list without cancelling anyone but sometimes it’s beyond our control

I will share this with the staff and theatres as they too will be pleased with your comments and I hope you are recovering well following your surgery
