After visiting my GP, A&E and getting no answers, I booked in at the sexual health clinic to hopefully get some answers. I got diagnosed with genital herpes after an examination and I was understandably upset. The nurse was so supportive and we sat and talked and she answered all my questions and worries. I didn’t feel pressured by time and I didn’t feel judged at all. I only left once I felt ok to do so and had all the answers I needed. The only thing is, I feel like that’s it. I don’t have any further support or anyone to ask questions to as I learn to live with this. I find googling things brings a lot of false/ scary information and I really think I could do with continued support and help which I now don’t know how to access.
