"Treated with respect"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Endoscopy and day care

(as the patient),

I was admitted to the Forth Valley Royal Hospital for a Colonoscopy and Endoscopy. Not a great prospect as you can imagine. I was admitted by Nurse Donalda and was treated with every respect and made to feel very relaxed and prepared for the treatment. I was then introduced to Diane who would carry out the procedure assisted by Roseann and Vicky. Every member of this team helped to make me feel relaxed and the procedure went without a hitch.

If looking for an improvement it wont be found in the care I had during this procedure. It serves to remind me of the very high standard of care I have had during the last few years in my treatment for cancer, I am still here to tell the story.

Thank you so much for providing feedback following your visit to the endoscopy department.

It can be an anxious time attending for an endoscopy procedure. I am glad to read that staff were able to help you prepare for the procedure and helped you to feel relaxed. It is reassuring also that your procedure went well.

Staff in the unit do work hard to try and support a patient throughout their time in the department prior to, during and after their procedure.

I hope you are in good health and thanks again for your lovely words.
