The lack of ‘normal’ GP service due to the global pandemic has affected us all. Having to adapt to new methods of communication with my GP has been difficult to accept yet I have only positive comments and heartfelt praise for the advice and support I have received from Claughton Medical Centre. The Practice Manager has been outstanding in her personal response to a query I had about ensuring I had continuity of care from my doctor. She responded within 24 hours when I sent a query to the practice concerning E Consult. She telephoned me and reassured me; she gave me direction to ensure I was able to access a face to face appointment should I require it. Her determination to reinforce the Practice’s offer of a face to face appointment, should a patient request it or require it, alleviated all my concerns. Her calm manner is a tonic! I have been with the Practice a long time and doctors have always been wonderful; not once have I left feeling I was not listened to or valued. Knowing I can see the same doctor in order to build a doctor / patient relationship is paramount to me.
Yes I would like everything to be as it was before the Pandemic however being with Claughton Medical reassures me that it will be fine.
