About: Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response Royal Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency Royal Victoria Hospital / Rehabilitation Royal Victoria Hospital / Trauma & Orthopaedics

(as a carer),

My Mother fell and Fractured her Hip Bone.

The Ambulance Staff were amazing. Assessing her then transferring her to Belfast RVH A& E.

Doctor Chris in A&E was very attentive ,especially informing me via phone what was happening as I could not get in to see her,

She was Transferred to Ward 4C FRACTURES.where she had to wait a few days for Surgery.A very busy Ward ..

a lovely Domestic called Sharon was very attentive to all the women in the Ward,

Eventually she was transferred to Meadowlands for Rehabilitation.

Everyone has been brilliant. Nurses, care assistants ,

Domestic and catering staff. Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists , Surgeons,,,everyone

Dear caelumxx39

Thank you for your kind words about the clinicians who attended your mother after her fall.

The crew will be delighted to hear they made a difference to your mother during what must have been an extremely frightening and painful experience.

I would very much like to share your compliment with the staff however, to enable me to identify the crew involved I would need a few extra details. If you would be prepared to discuss, please contact me on amanda.sweetlove@nias.hscni.net

I am extremely happy to hear your mum has had quality care from every department and I hope she enjoys a full and speedy recovery.

Kind regards

Amanda
