About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Cardiology / Coronary Care Unit

(as a service user),

All my interactions with staff on the ward were amazing except for with 1 auxiliary. I asked them for a jug of water several times when they were in room and they ignored me every time. They done the same when I asked for help to go to the toilet, for a sick bowl to be provided and for clean bedding.

Another patient in the room said to this member of staff multiple times that they were having chest pain and needed a nurse or doctor. They were ignored. When other staff members came into the room they were obviously annoyed with this auxiliary as they seemed to be doing the same to other staff. Despite the obvious irritation the staff were experiencing with this one person they were all exceptionally amazing, caring and attentive.

I am really sorry to read that your experience with one of our staff was not all we would want it to be. I would like to apologise to you for your this as it falls far below the standard of care I would expect from my team.
