Incredible staff

About: Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) / Ballymena CMHT Holywell Hospital

(as a service user),

I was admitted to Holywell around 8 weeks ago. The care I received was really outstanding.

The staff were so incredibly nice and caring. I felt like I was actually listened to and heard which can be hard when dealing with mental health, sometimes we feel invalidated but this didn’t happen thankfully.

My named nurse along with every other staff member were just incredible. I cannot thank them enough for what they did for me while I was in there. They really have helped me see a different view on life. They work so hard and really make an effort which is just amazing to see. I don’t know where I would be without them!

I didn’t make it easy for them, which I regret hugely, but without their care and attention I would not be where I am right now. Yes it’s still early days but I feel more hopeful than I ever have and that in itself is a huge accomplishment.

Thank you so much to Leona, Niamh, Julie, Anna, Claire, Chloe, Trez, Hillary, Mikayla, Mandy, Dawn and anyone else I might of forgotten!

Thank you for your kind comments. Staff across Mental Health Services in the Northern Health & Social Care Trust work very hard to make a difference to the people they care for and support.

At a time when services are under constant pressure it is uplifting for the staff team to receive such positive feedback. Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback, which I will ensure is shared with the staff team.
