The times we spent in your hospice were some of the most memorable of my life and the lives of our family. Mary and Magda and others helped us in a way I will always remember. Poor Dad was in tremendous pain but your pain management team managed to balance his awareness with the pain medication he was given: we had the best of him because of that.
Things I remember from our daily times at the hospice:
- The friendliness of staff
- The family space: this was vital at all times
- The cleanliness
- The volunteers on reception: most were so gracious, gentle and considerate
- The medical staff: professional, brilliant
- The allowing of grief
- The music facilities meant everything to Dad and to us
- The real family ambiance of the hospice
- The respect: at all times we felt so very well treated
- The atmosphere of calm and the serenity
- The end: how we were given time with Dad
