"Brilliant, competent, friendly staff, really nice…"

I was a former patient of this facility, I didn't know what to expect when I was sectioned so was obviously anxious, scarred and bewildered. I don't know who manages this place but "well fucking done", the staff were amazingly supportive, very friendly, they would happily chat with me and fellow patients, treating us as equals, I've had many memorable conversations with the nurses here, about hobbies, general stuff, anything, they looked after everyone so well I was shocked!

I was forced to stay for 3 weeks which was a while ago, even so I look back with fond memories of how I was treated as a patient. I was angry at the time because I was held against my will but the nurses/management were all very respectable and quite frankly they were "fucking good at their jobs/being human". Congrats to management/Southport in general/the staff/whatever. You're doing great and deserver better treatment/more pay!
