"Fast and reassuring paramedics"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter took very sick when we were out folowing a recent heart surgery. I intanstly knew she needed assistance and medical intervention. I called 999 whilst in a shopping centre near glasgow , where the call handler talked me through what to do, she was calm , reassuring and helpful. The paramedics turned up under 5 minutes and gave her the urgent care she needed and transferred her rapidly to the royal hospital for children.

The paramedics were fast , reasurring and knew exactly what to do as well as reasuring me and my daughters dad that she was in the best hands. Without their rapid response and caring nature the out come may not have been the same. From the bottom of my heart , thank you.

Dear Lola1988

Thank you for taking the time to post your Feedback here on CareOpinion.

I am very sorry to read about your daughter becoming unwell following her recent surgery. This must have been very worrying and scary for your all, especially when you were out and away from home. I do hope your daughter is feeling better.

It is great to read the lovely comments you have made about all our staff involved with your daughters care. It appears all staff acted professionally, were calm and reassuring throughout, and I really hope this helped to put you mind at ease.

I would be really happy to pass your kind comments on to our staff and their managers to let them know what a great job they did. If you would like me to do this for you, please may I ask you email sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your daughters name and the location of where crew attended. Please may I also kindly ask you make reference to your CareOpinion User name which will help us link to this story

Thank you once again.

Best Wishes

Lesley
