"Food not suited to the weather"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 1 North Cardiology Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I was sent to A&e by my doctor. I was seen to straight away but spent about 2-3 days on the ward in the a&e department before being transferred to cardiology. There was no bed available until then but I was well looked after in a&e.

The staff have been kind and gave me good explanations for everything going on with regards to my treatment. They let me know when a bed was available etc and overall kept me well informed. I never felt in the dark. The staff came to me when I needed something.

The food is not suited for the weather but the taste is ok.

I would appreciate air conditioning of some sort as the heat has been hard to deal with.

Overall, the expereicne has been pleasant and this is definitely down to the kindness of the staff.

Thank you for posting regarding your recent hospital stay.

I am sorry you found the menu choices unsuitable for the weather and I do appreciate your feedback. Unfortunately a large scale catering operation such as ours, cannot change menu choices very quickly, due to the logistics behind the scenes.

Thankfully the intense heat has passed and I hope the menu choices seem more appropriate.

Many thanks
