"Well looked after"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Daisy Hill Hospital / Male Surgical

(as the patient),

After seeing my GP, due to having difficulty breathing, an ambulance was called for me and I was brought to Daisy Hill Hospital's Emergency Department.  All the ambulance staff were absolutely brilliant - excellent.

I experienced a long wait in the Emergency Department due to the need for a COVID-19 test, however all the staff were very good and I was eventually moved up onto the ward.

Up on the male surgical ward I was given a side room, which I was grateful for.  I feel as though I am well looked after up here on the ward. The staff are all very good.  My only suggestion would be that the Doctor's ward rounds are less rushed as sometimes it is hard for the new information to come across.  Other than this my stay and treatment have been great.
