I was admitted to Craigavon area hospital in June for a total hip replacement.
From arriving at the hospital at 7:30 am the nursing staff on the ward were so helpful and reassuring. The theatre team were so pleasant and reassuring. The surgeon, Dr Murnahar and anaesthetist, Tim, were amazing! They explained everything in an understanding way to myself who knows nothing medically related.
On arriving back to the ward, the caring nature of all the staff continued. Also, the catering ladies were so pleasant and caring and had a welcome chat for everyone. The OTs and the physios were so helpful and kind and taught me how to cope with all the equipment needed for a while during the healing process.
The only suggestion I would say is there was no high toilet seat in the bathroom, however this was put in place on the last day. A minor issue!
The whole experience was so positive, as always I am writing this 3 weeks after my surgery and I am feeling so well, so many many thanks to everyone.
