"Taking back control of my life"

About: Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as the patient),

I was in a bad place due to not being able to say no to work and putting it before my family

This led to being snappy and suffering from anxiety attacks as I couldn’t see this was happening and distancing my self away from people

I had a heart attack at 42 years old

This sent panic every time I got under stress

I was referred to inclusion by my heart failure nurse

This was a great service over 6 weeks of speaking to one of there therapists I was able to see what was going on and put my life back on track

Dear Earmarkgm73,

Firstly I’d like to thank you for leaving feedback. I know there must’ve been a lot of pressure on you whilst trying to balance family and work, hence the irritability and avoidance of others. Having experienced such a severe health condition, it’s important to recognise triggering factors that could potentially lead to such episodes and understand how to reduce your stress levels.

It seems to me that you’ve acquired the resources to see what wasn’t going so well previously and now have a better understanding. I hope you continue on this path of recovery.
