About: Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as the patient),

During the first Covid lock down I had anxiety and I started my therapy session 8 weeks ago I my first session was about finding my triggers and as the weeks went on I finally was able to tell the difference between a physical worry and a hypothetical worry My therapist was so kind and helpful and understood my problems I now have the tools I need to continue my recovery journey I will be forever grateful to her

Dear sierrast75,

Thank you for sharing how you found your therapy with us.

I think many of us experienced heightened anxiety during lockdown as it was such an uncertain time. I am really pleased to hear that you reached out for support with this.

It sounds as though you learnt a lot about your anxiety, especially the different types of worries we have! I hope you now feel comfortable addressing each worry, depending on if it is practical or hypothetical. It is important to remember that we all worry but if they start to impact the way you want to live your life, therapy techniques can help us to control the amount we are worrying. It certainly sounds as though you now have the tools to manage your worries in the future.

You are absolutely right that you now have the knowledge and tools to continue your progress. Therapy really is only the first step, it is essential that we carry on practising what we have learnt in order to continue progressing, and it sounds as though you are ready to do this!

I wish you the very best of luck for the future. Thank you again.

Take care,

Jade Ford
