I was admitted to ARU 5 with a small bowel obstruction. I was in a lot of pain, and experiencing frequent vomiting, but Nurse Allison in ARU 5 provided the most wonderful care. She was very kind, checked up on me frequently and tried to keep me as comfortable as possible until a doctor could see me. I really appreciated this and cannot thank her enough for this.
I was later moved to Ward 9B where I again received fantastic nursing. I unfortunately cannot remember the names of the nurses who were looking after me. I needed to have an NG tube fitted which proved to be a difficult procedure for me but they comforted me throughout and were very understanding. Throughout my stay on the ward, staff were very attentive making sure I received pain meds and checking up on me regularly. They were also very knowledgable around my stoma and the adjustments/restrictions this brings, I felt like I was in safe hands!Thank you so much to everyone, I really appreciated it!
