About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / General Surgery (wards 19, 20, 24, 26 &29) Royal Alexandra Hospital / Gynaecology (Ward 32)

(as the patient),

Original referral was one year past March. Although surgery was required it was put on hold understandably because of COVID.

Surgery was again scheduled for April 2021 and got as far as the pre op assessment before being cancelled again as my GP wanted something else checked first.

Surgery again scheduled for July 2021 and this time went ahead.

Understandably I was nervous and anxious but all staff from the Consultant, assessment staff, theatre and ward staff were excellent.
