"The staff in CAH are first class and the paramedics"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I came in a few days ago by ambulance to ED on saturday. The first responder to me was a paramedic named Shane and he was so caring and nice making me feel at ease as this was my first experience of having a turn so I felt scared. I felt the ambulance crew were very organised and quick, they knew what they were at. I got a bed quickly/ The food has been very good. I asked for more fluids and drinks and the staff were prompt and addressed my request well. When you need something they are very good at helping.

Hi Shawx79

Thank you for taking the time to offer such kind words about the staff who attended to you during your recent trauma. Our staff often wonder how their patients get on after they have attended to them, so reading stories like yours and knowing they helped with your journey to recovery is always welcomed.

It is important that the staff involved can receive your thanks. In order for me identify the crew and to share your gratitude with Shane, I would need a few extra details.

If you would be prepared to discuss this, please contact me on hr.temp7@nias.hscni.net
