"Great care in the Southern Trust"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Patient care services

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I started off in A& E in Daisy Hill and I was seen quickly and the staff there were all absolutely lovely. I was then transferred to Craigavon and that whole process was also great as the ambulance staff were so nice and they made my transfer over so easy and seamless.

I have had a completely positive experience in hospital this time and that's also due to the great staff in the orthopaedic ward who have always made me feel respected and valued at all times. The doctors I have been seen by have all been lovely and they are always clear about what is happening with my care. The food has been very good and I have particularly enjoyed the company on the ward as I have been able to have a great laugh- they've all been super.

Although the ward seems short staffed at times, they all do their best and they try so hard to make us all as comfortable as possible. The ward is always clean and it is very spacious as well so even though you're sharing a ward, you still have privacy with the curtains and the amount of space around you. I cannot speak more highly of the staff I have had the pleasure to have had taking care of me and I can only say good things about my entire hospital experience and for that I am so grateful!

Hi Lucky57

Thank you for taking the time to offer such kind words about the staff who transported you to Craigavon Area Hospital.

Our staff often wonder how their patients get on after they have referred them or transported them, so reading stories like yours and knowing they helped with your journey to recovery is always welcomed.

I am delighted your experience was a positive one and I hope you are making a good recovery.

Demi McKay
